WLYC hosts sailing fleets in the snipe and sunfish classes with scheduled club races on Thursday nights starting at 6:00pm and Sundays starting at noon, May through September. The Sunfish fleet races on both Thursday and Sunday, the Snipe fleet only races on Sunday. Generally three races are held each day with a minimum of three boats required to make a fleet. Most races have between 5 to 10 boats in a fleet for Sunfish and 3 to 5 boats for Snipe.
